Tropical, Vibrant and Modern Wedding Ceremony at Orleans House Gallery and reception at The Wharf.

A wonderful Wedding ceremony held at the stunning Orleans House Gallery, it is a free art gallery in Twickenham. Orleans House Gallery is a spectacular space, ceremonies are held in the Octagon room which is a Grade 1 listed building with ornate details and decorations and is perfect for intimate ceremonies accommodating upto 60 guests. Situated next to the River Thames it is a beautiful setting with gardens and woodland. Huge windows provide lots of natural light, which is lovely for Winter Weddings as well as Spring, Summer and Autumn and the colour palette inside is perfect for any Wedding whether its vibrant or classic neutral tones.

My lovely couple married in late September and after the ceremony everyone boarded the Yarmouth Belle one of Turks Launches ferries for a cruise along the River upto Teddington Lock, where the reception was held at The Wharf on the river Thames at Teddington.

At our first Wedding consultation Louise and Aaron told me about the romantic proposal of marriage and also about Louise's dream to marry in Hawaii and her love of Pineapples. They had seen some of my other Wedding creations and were drawn to the warm bright colours and wanted their Wedding to be fun and relaxed. I recommended we could go with tropical leaves like palms and aspidistra leaves and use a mix of flowers that were tropical based as well as gorgeous Garden roses to blend and link to an English Wedding. This also complemented their beautiful Wedding stationery.

We loved creating Louise and Aaron's Wedding flowers for their special day and thank you very much for your kind words and also sharing your amazing photographs taken by Nick Ray Photography.

'Johanna was always calm and friendly and available to us by email, phone or in person. We cannot recommend her highly enough. On the day, her stunning flowers took our breath away on more than one occasion. In particular, I remember walking into the reception venue and just thinking 'Wow!'. It looked better than I'd ever imagined. Johanna is incredibly talented, creative and amazing!

Vibrant orange, coral and salmon pinks were used for the colour palette, incorporating stunning Mokara orchids, Lisianthus, Roses and Hibiscus pods as a nod to Hawaii and the cutest of Pineapples were added to the arrangements.

Louise had stayed the night before the Wedding at The Petersham Hotel in Richmond so had her Mum and Best women with her on the morning of the Wedding. We delivered the flowers upto Louise's room, it is always one of my favourite parts of the day handing over and showing my Bride her bouquet. We individually wired a selection of flowers for Louise's hair so that Katy Djokic - Hair and Makeup artist could pin them easily into place.

The magnificent Portland stone staircase at The Petersham Hotel. Built in 1865 the grand building is full of stunning Victorian character.

Entrance and Exit Pedestal Urns - Nick Ray Photography

The side door provides a perfect space for entrance and exit goals and two large pedestals were placed on either side of the door.

The pedestals contained Ginger flowers, Leucospermum, Orchids, Lisianthus, Roses, Spray roses, Pineapples and Tropical leaves, palm and lush foliage. We collected the pedestal urns after the Ceremony and transferred them to the bar at The Wharf in Teddington so they could be enjoyed for the evening celebrations. The Best women carried small posies of flowers all different to complement their individual dresses.

The Octagon room is full of beautiful ornate decorations and a chandelier with the large windows provided lots of beautiful light for this September Wedding.

Confetti moments outside Orleans House Gallery

Modern with touches of vibrant tropical flowers mixed with classic English. Roses, Lisianthus, Orchids, wonderfully fragrant Tubarose, Anthiriums and tropical foliage the Bridal bouquet gave a touch of the tropics for an English Bride.

The Wedding day provided all seasons of weather, I love this photo capturing a very happy newly wed couple with the boats and pontoon being their Wedding colours.

The reception was held at The Wharf in Teddington which is located down at Teddington Lock on the river Thames. The long tables were different lengths so we decorated each table down the centre so it looked like one continuous table. Using a selection of bud vases in different shapes, filled with Pineapples, Orchids, Hibiscus pods, Freesia and Roses, showing the beauty of each quality flower. Laid directly on the tablecloth we placed tropical foliage which formed a runner of interesting foliage Philodendron Leaves, Palm and Aspidistra Leaves.

Stunning Wedding stationery featured large tropical leaves and mini Pineapples for the Bride and Groom place settings.

The three Best women as Louise preferred to call them all wore vibrant shades of red and orange dresses so we created their bouquets all slightly different to complement the shade of their dresses, using a flowers that were in Louise's bouquet.

Such a beautiful rainbow at Teddington Lock.

Thank you again Louise and Aaron for entrusting me to create your dream flowers and for sharing your stunning photographs by Nick Ray Photography. I loved working with my gorgeous couple to create your dream flowers.

Johanna created the flowers for our Wedding. At our very first meeting, we shared our vision for the wedding and she asked great questions which helped her and us get a better understanding of what we wanted. She was able to advise us on what flowers were in season and make suggestions for flowers we hadn't ever heard of or considered. She also provided lots of good tips based on her knowledge and artistic eye, for instance by advising us not to have flowers in certain places because the venue didn't need it and also advising us that we could reuse flowers from the ceremony venue at the reception which saved a few £££.
