Wedding Flowers RSA House – Roselin and James during the pandemic July 2021
RSA House is a stunning wedding venue located in central London behind the Strand. Elegant, modern and romantic with spectacular interiors and gorgeous Georgian architecture with magnificent marble floors, sweeping staircases and stunning spaces. From the airy and light Benjamin Franklin room, to the large and lavish space in the historic Great room surrounded by stunning 15th-century paintings. It is a wonderful venue to flower and we were honored to be chosen by our couple to design floral arrangements in this unique London venue.
The beautifully lit Benjamin Franklin room at the RSA is elegant and modern with a contemporary twist, the Troika chandelier creating gorgeous geometric patterns upon the ceiling. Roselin and James chose to have their ceremony facing the windows, so large pedestal urns framed their ceremony. A large fully flowered ceremony table of flowers, full of gorgeous roses, stock, rosemary, craspedia, honeysuckle and rotheschildiana which we later repurposed to their long top table. The side two fireplaces were filled with exquisite blooms in bud vases that were also later repurposed to the top table for their wedding breakfast.
Using warm sunset tones to complement the room and using pops of red and yellow, two sentimental colours to our couple. The amazing Gloriosa Rothschildiana added pops of oriental elegance. These amazing flowers were added to the table flower urn arrangements hovering like beautiful butterflies amongst the floral displays.
This Wedding was a special one in that it was able to go ahead during the pandemic in line with the restrictions at the time. Peony's were also a favourite flower of our bride and we were able to source a few of the last Peonies of the season and include them only in Roselin’s bridal bouquet. We also used a favourite of ours a beautiful Garden rose called Romantic Antique which has the most wonderful rufflicious petals, a cabbage-style large-headed muted pink, salmon pink and a real beauty. This beautiful rose has the ruffles of a Peony and worked beautifully with the summer sunset wedding palette.
Thank you so much for your wonderful testimonial Roselin and James and for letting me share your gorgeous wedding flowers photos at RSA House so beautifully captured by Fiona Kelly Photography. A wedding planned during the pandemic when social distancing rules and numbers were constantly changing. The Royal Society of Arts is a venue that I am now looking forward to flowering again.
‘Johanna did the flowers for our wedding during the Covid period – Johanna was extremely easy to work with, given it was a new venue for her.
Despite my bride and I not being the most clued up about flowers, she made the whole process super easy and informative. The flowers were stunning, and exactly what we had hoped for. Proof in the pudding was the number of compliments we had from our guests, and how many of the flowers guests ended up taking at the end of the night. We couldn’t recommend Johanna more for your wedding flowers.
We loved working with our couple to design wedding flowers that reflected their personalities and being part of Roselin and James special day at RSA House. The RSA team are a delight to work with and a stunning wedding venue. Wedding venue RSA House www.rsa.org
