Outdoor Ceremony Moongate inspiration for a Summer Wedding.
A gorgeous Moongate wedding shoot with a great team of suppliers with a wonderful Summer feel. I wanted to show the effect of what a statement floral piece like a Moon gate makes to a celebration. The shoot was inspired by my time growing up in New Zealand, sharing inspiration for couples for an Outdoor Ceremony, together with delicious food, sharing platters and enjoying being with family and close friends.
Our couple loves life with fun and modern themes so the idea of an intimate romantic ceremony that embraced togetherness, celebrating with those they love and that are special to them. Wanting a beautifully romantic day filled with energy, fun, love and laughter this dreamy colour palette shows their love of life.
Summer flowers for this Moon gate had to be seasonal so gorgeous full Peonies including Coral Charm and Coral Sunset, Romantic Antike Garden roses, Quicksand, Sweet Avalanche and Sahara Sunset spray roses. Astilbe, Eremurus, Larkspur and Anthirium provided shape and I love that they are unusual and heart shaped and wonderfully fragrant Stock. Shades of pink, blush and coral with lush foliage complemented the beautiful backdrop of the tranquil lake and the Moon gate created a showstopping piece for the Ceremony and the entire Wedding Day.
Working with a wonderful group of Wedding suppliers we created a Summer Floral Romance which would echo a beautiful relaxed Wedding Ceremony that would take place outside.
We were lucky to have the talented Gyan Gurung on board to take gorgeous photos for the styled shoot in which each of us as suppliers made a quick change into smart clothes so that we could be guests at the Ceremony.
Our Bride wore a gorgeous two piece dress with a beautiful lace top and wonderful tulle skirt from Mirror Mirror Bridal boutique. Bridal hair was left down in soft bouncy waves and natural make up created by Kylie M Makeup.
Beautiful watermarked and monogram stationery by Flamboyant Invites linked the romantic colour palette and effect with the Ceremony being located by the lakeside.
The tablescape styled by Toasted Events with mixed copper and wood cutlery and coloured tumblers. A pretty runner was laid to simply dress the table with single individual bud vases with gorgeous single stems, keeping the table simple. Delicious food platters for sharing are wonderful for a relaxed intermingling atmosphere. The aisle flowers were repurposed at the end of the table for a statement at the front of the table, a lovely feature for guests to look at as they took their seats.
Our Bride later changed into an all white gown which guests had expected she might wear for the Ceremony. Bridal dress by Cherry Williams London and Bridesmaid dresses by TH&TH.
The Bridal bouquet included stunning Coral Peonies and Summer Garden roses with fragrant Stock and Jasmine with Lissianthus and a gorgeous selection of greenery. The Bridesmaids carried smaller handtied versions of the Bridal bouquet, slightly different colours to complement their different coloured and styled dresses.
Rose Wired Buttonholes all different to incorporate all the gorgeous roses used in the Bouquets with added little flowers and bound with ribbon for extra detail.

Wedding cake with wonderful rice paper ruffles echoing the rufflicious petals of the Peonies and little macarons and biscuits by Milk Street Kitchen.
Beautiful wooden serving platters filled with a wonderful selection of finger food for an intimate and relaxed celebration.
