FERNS AND FOLIAGE BRINGING THE NEW FOREST TO A LONDON WEDDING

Updated: Mar 7, 2023

Wedding planning

Our couple Becky and Rob had originally planned to marry in the New Forest where Becky is from and both loving the outside and lush foliage and the wonderful woody feels of the New Forest area. Due to Covid, their plans changed and a new date in August 2021 was set. With postponing the wedding they decided to look for a venue in central London. We were delighted to be contacted and work with our couple to to create flowers that were unique to them.

Drawing on inspiration from their original plans of being in the New Forest they were keen on a predominantly foliage Wedding. So we created overflowing wild and natural large statement pedestal urns and added some pops of white, soft blush and the palest blue flowers to complement the elegant interiors of their new London city venue.

10-11 Carlton House Terrace is a gorgeous Georgian Townhouse venue with beautiful high ceilings and decor. The ceremony was held in the Music room with wonderful high ceilings a large ornate fireplace and chandelier.

Romantic pastel colour palette

The Wedding breakfast was on the other side of the venue in the Wolfson room, a wonderful light filled room with large windows overlooking Buckingham palace road. The walls the prettiest pale periwinkle blue. Using elegant glass urns we created low level arrangements that were natural and wild and included ferns to bring a little of the New Forest to the tables.

Tealights and soft blue silk draping also lay across the table which Rachelle from Trust in Love helped our Bride with organization in the lead up to the wedding and planning with on the day co-ordination.

Our petite Bride wore a stunning Jesus Piero A-Line dress and wanted a smaller looser style bouquet. Loving foliage and texture we designed a bouquet full of ferns, ivy, airy, light and romantic with the fabulous fragrant white Ohara garden roses, pretty pale blue delphinium, astrantia, spray roses and the softest feathery nicol eucalyptus. Lots of grasses were also added to create movement and the most delicate Chasmanthium latifolium.
