ROMANTIC PASTEL WEDDING FLOWER INSPIRATION AT ORLEANS HOUSE GALLERY

Updated: Jun 17, 2020

In May this year I had the most romantic and dreamy Wedding to flower at Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham which houses the stunning Octagon Baroque room. Built in 1721 Orleans House is a stunning location for intimate ceremonies, enriched with history and gorgeous Georgian architectural details. Orleans House Gallery is situated between Richmond and Twickenham within beautiful gardens and woodland overlooking the river Thames so peaceful and tranquil.

CEREMONY FLOWERS:

The Octagon room has high ceilings with the most decorative ceiling. The large double door leading out to the garden lends itself wonderfully to large urn style arrangements, one on either side perfect for statement entrance and exit goals.

Vintage bottles were grouped on the Ceremony table so not to obstruct the stunning windows and views out to the Thames river. Also allowing space for the all important document signing.

BRIDE:

My Bride loved the idea of a romantic bouquet and was very keen to have Peonies in her bouquet. We therefore sourced the most beautiful soft pink smaller Peonies, gorgeous Quicksand, Amnesia and Memory Lane roses. Other seasonal flowers and herbs like Astilbe, Astrantia, Nigella, Sweetpeas, Lissianthus, Rosemary and Sage added fragrance and texture. The beautiful pastel palette of blush, champagne with vintage pink, sage and grey eucalyptus foliage created a dreamy romantic bouquet with a slight trail.

BRIDESMAID:

The Bridesmaids dress was a soft sage green, so we used similar flowers to the Bridal bouquet but created a smaller posy style adding some sage into the bouquet to complement the colour of her dress.

BUTTONHOLES

Small wired buttonholes were created with delicate spray roses, Astrantia, Nigella and herbs so that they could all be slightly different and textured. All our buttonholes are packaged and named so all the men know which Buttonhole is for them. Whilst delivering Ceremony flowers, I am also often pinning Buttonholes onto Grooms and their Groomsmen.

RECEPTION VENUE:

The Reception Venue was one of our couples favourite pubs in Richmond, being Gin lovers they collected the bottles of their favourite Gins. We filled these along with little vintage bottles using beautiful blooms and herbs which were perfect for a Pub Reception adding fragrance and interest to the character venue.

Our designs are beautiful, elegant and romantic and always made with lots of love. With years of experience we love working with couples, choosing flowers is exciting and fun and we love using beautiful seasonal premium quality blooms that will enhance all the elements of your Wedding bringing everything together.

There are many factors that we take into consideration when creating your flowers, such as your personality and style, your bridal colours and the time of year you are marrying. For this reason we like to meet our Couples so that we get to know your likes and dislikes.

If you would like to find out more about how we can help you create your Wedding dreams at Orleans House or surrounding venues with flowers and floral design then please get in touch.
